EverLast® Induction Lighting Introduces Smart Light Shoe Box Fixtures
New Reflector Design Provides Uniformity for Superior Light Distribution
Jackson, MI– September, 2009 – Increasingly, lighting specifications are being redefined to match today's industry standards. Innovative advancement in light technology has improved how lighting is perceived today. Enhanced technology in lighting has successfully decreased light pollution, the amount of wasted light that points outward and upward into the sky, instead of focusing downward where it is needed. EverLast® Smart Light Series addresses these key issues with their third installment of the new EverLast® Type IV Shoe Box Fixtures specifically designed for parking lots, athletic courts and off road areas.
EverLast® Type IV Shoe Box Fixtures are becoming more popular in public areas for their energy-efficient and maintenance-free features, which translate to instant cost-savings. In addition, EverLast® is introducing a new exclusive induction technology for their shoe box fixtures that will help enhance its lighting capabilities. The Type IV Shoe Box Fixtures are available in 70 watt or 100 watt and have a new reflector design that provides a 50 percent increase in lateral throw. This distribution provides excellent uniformities from top to bottom and left to right illumination and a 15 percent increase in forward throw lighting. The distribution provides sharp house-side cut-off for perimeter lighting for minimal spill light.
The Patent Pending EverLast® Smart Light Series Shoe Box fixtures are the newest and most innovative induction lighting technology in the market today, delivering energy savings of 50 - 70 percent over standard HPS, HID and LED lighting, and providing brighter and more natural illumination for increased pedestrian safety in parking lots, campuses, recreational parks and other public areas.
EverLast® Smart Light Series Shoe Box Fixtures incorporate step-dimming and on/off sensor controls for increased pedestrian safety with unmatched energy savings. A ballast option dims the fixture to 50 percent power on vacancy with automatic on to high level upon occupancy for significant savings and enhanced security. Rated with a lamp life of 100,000 hours, the fixture is manufactured using lightweight polycarbonate (plastic) for increased durability.
"Enhancing community safety and bringing a cost-effective solution to poorly lit outdoor areas is EverLast's commitment," commented Todd Howland, VP of Sales and Marketing at Full Spectrum Solutions. "We have invested a lot of time in research and development to bring our EverLast Smart Light Series to the market. Our customers will have an advantage that will not only bring superior lighting performance, but also decrease their energy expenses, maintenance costs, and initial costs, allowing for a quicker return on their investment."
The EverLast® Type IV Shoe Box fixture is now available and is the third installment in a new line of energy-efficient induction lighting fixtures being manufactured in Jackson, Michigan, USA. The EverLast® Smart Light Cobra Head and Acorn fixtures are now rolling off the assembly line to complete orders already placed by municipalities, universities and federal agencies that are moving towards energy efficiency.
