Kyle Leighton and Alex Orr of Jackson, Michigan Receive National Honors!
JACKSON, MICHIGAN – July 21st, 2013 – tED magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Electrical Distributors, has released its 2013 “30 Under 35” list of rising stars from across the electrical industry who have the initiative, drive, integrity, and creativity to move the industry forward in the decades to come. Kyle Leighton, PR Coordinator, and Alex Orr, East Coast Regional Sales Manager, of Jackson based EverLast® Lighting, Inc. were announced in a press release on June 3rd by tED Magazine, and the National Association of Electrical Distributors, as 2 of the industry’s top emerging leaders.
The awards program places emphasis on 7 categories of professionalism that include dedication, people skills, innovation, training completed, leadership, work/life balance, and personal integrity. Leighton and Orr were acknowledged as being outstanding amongst those categories worthy enough of the national recognition.
“Alex has positioned himself, and our company for growth across the East Coast of United States. In addition, he has contributed to EverLast® becoming the most recognized name in the induction lighting industry,” explained Bryan Schultz, West Coast Regional Sales Manager at EverLast® Lighting, Inc. “Alex is also in charge of our PVW photovoltaic/wind hybrid line that is a sustainable off grid lighting solution that has been utilized at such places as the NASA Johnson Space Center and NASA Wallop’s Island.”
The 2013 “30 Under 35” was recognized at a special ceremony at the NAED’s 2013 LEAD Conference in Chicago, Illinois in July. Leighton, and Orr attended and individually received a certificate signed by Tom Naber, President of the National Association of Electrical Distributors. They will both be featured in the July print and online issues of tED Magazine, in addition to individual interviews that will come at a later date.
“Like some of the top PR professionals across the state of Michigan, Kyle’s talent is deep-seated into his work ethic and has propelled him to a platform of excellence,” explained Schultz. “Whether or not he has a place alongside top PR professionals in the electrical industry across the United States is a question that has validity, and at this point has a place amongst those kinds of talks.”
