tED Magazine Names Leighton and Orr As Emerging Leaders In Electrical Industry!

tED MagJune 13th, 2013 – tED magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Electrical Distributors, has released its 2013 “30 Under 35” list of rising stars from across the electrical industry who have the initiative, drive, integrity, and creativity to move the industry forward in the decades to come. Kyle Leighton, PR Coordinator, and Alex Orr, East Coast Regional Sales Manager, of EverLast® Lighting, Inc. were announced in a press release on June 3rd by tED Magazine, and the National Association of Electrical Distributors, as 2 of the industry’s top emerging leaders.

Orr, 26, joined EverLast® in 2009 in the Commercial Sales division. In 2010, he transitioned to Regional Management in and now covers the entire U.S. East Coast territory, which he has led to record sales for the past three years. In 2011, he was part of a design committee that designed and engineered a fixture that would withstand a freezer/cooler environment and was adopted and installed in many of the Meijer stores throughout the Midwest.

Leighton, 28, came aboard EverLast® late 2011, and immediately heightened the presence of the company by leading back to back statewide initiatives that focused on lowering energy consumption amongst the private sector, and collegiate institutions. Leighton’s involvement spans the entire United States as he works alongside government officials, media outlets, and representative firms traveling to opposite ends of the country. Leighton also authors content in several industry leading publications.

The 2013 “30 Under 35” will be recognized at a special ceremony at the NAED’s 2013 LEAD Conference in Chicago, Illinois in July. Leighton, and Orr are scheduled to attend and will individually receive a certificate signed by Tom Naber, President of the National Association of Electrical Distributors. In addition, they will both be featured in the July print and online issues of tED Magazine outlining their achievements.

“It’s remarkable that only 30 people were selected for this honor in the United States, and 2 of them are not only in Michigan, but they are at our company,” explained Cody Sharp, South East Regional Sales Manager at EverLast® Lighting, Inc. “These guys are on the industry shortlist because they are operating on high levels of dedication, professionalism, and excellence."
